Career & Technical Education
The proposed Shelley School Bond includes a CTE Building.
Shelley School District has been offering CTE courses (Career and Technical Education) for years!
Most notably, this has been in the form of our agriculture and welding programs.
However, there is a whole scope of CTE courses that equip students with specific skills tailored to different career pathways, including hands-on experience/training.
A new CTE building would allow the Shelley School District CTE programs to GROW!
We could potentially offer broader pathways in cybersecurity, EMT, CNA, law enforcement, cosmetology,
CDL driving, culinary arts, etc. We currently piggy-back on neighboring districts' CTE programs with limited availability. SHS students have to drive to Idaho Falls or Firth to take part in some specialized programs.

CTE programs allow students to enter the job market directly after graduation or pursue further education in a related field; essentially, it prepares them for both college and careers depending on their chosen path.
